Hoppin Meal Plans offers two different plans that can be ordered on a weekly or subscription basis.  Here’s a little bit about the kinds of meal you’ll find on each.

Clean Eating.  The Whole30 is a popular elimination diet.  It’s not about weight loss or quick fixes, it’s about learning how your body reacts to different foods by temporarily removing items such as grains, dairy, and sugar.  My husband and I did it in the summer of 2018, and it really opened our eyes to how we were affected by even the healthy foods we were eat.  Our experience with the plan was the inspiration for the Clean Eating meal plans. These recipes either eliminate or make optional all of the food type restricted by the Whole30 program.

Healthy Balanced.  Inspired by my lifelong Weight Watchers membership, light and balanced includes meals that are focused on having a healthy, balanced diet.  You’ll find lots of lean proteins, fresh produce, and most important: taste!  However, unlike restriction diets like Whole30, there’s nothing restricted, so you’ll find foods like cheese and bread pop up occasionally.

A word about me. I’m not a doctor, nurse, nutritionist, or other health care professional. I am a person that struggled with her weight until I woke up and decided to get serious about my health. Weight Watchers helped me loss and keep off over 50 pounds for a decade. Whole30 helped me understand how certain foods affected my body. These plans are based on my personal experience. If you have concerns about your health, as always, talk to a real doctor. (And no, webmd doesn’t count.)

Why these plans?

Why are these the only plans available?  It’s not that I have no love for people that are Keto, Paleo, Low-Carb, No-Carb, Pescatarian, Vegetarian, Vegan, and any of the other diets and lifestyles out there, it’s that these are the types of meals that I know best, because I’ve lived them.  But that doesn’t mean I can’t learn to live and love them.  I’m in the process of developing new plans, and updating and creating recipes.  Is there a type of meal plan you’d like to see?  Let me know!
