Collapsible Colander

How often do you use your colander?  Think about it – probably all the time.  You use it when you drain and rinse beans for the chilis and soups.  You drain your pasta in it.  You use it when you wash your vegetables each week after grocery shopping.  The colander is constantly coming in and out of your sink.

Now how much room in you cabinet is the colander hogging up?  In my kitchen – it was taking up a lot!  It as a large colander, so it took a whole shelf.  I used to store smaller items inside to just to get it in the cabinet, but that didn’t help – I had to remove them every time I used the colander.

So I tossed the old colander and upgraded to collapsible this one!  A fantastic space saving piece!  Now, instead of shuffling around my equipment to make room for a giant colander, I just fold it up, and slip it into my shelf.  It’s a great space and sanity saving tool!

Not only does it collapse to be about an inch and a half tall, it expands out!  Handles from the two sides extend so I can place the colander above the sink, not in the sink.
